Day 23 - Much Photographed

Still running a day late, should catch up today though, After a trip to Newcastle with No1 daughter.

After dropping No2 daughter off at her riding lesson i had to pop into town, on the way out i grabbed a few shots around the falls, and along a road called Sleegill, which was part of the Richmond to Lancaster Turnpike.

This is from that road.

This is the fabulous and imposing Richmond Castle, which dominates pretty much any view around this fine town.

Construction started around 1071, after the Harrying of the North, and was last used during the first World War to house conscientious objectors.

Well worth a visit if you're ever passing this way.
